The Colorado-Kansas Railway's Pueblo Depot

The depot was the Kretschmer blacksmith shop prior to being purchased by the Colorado-Kansas Railway. The original plan was to tear the whole building down and replace it with a $25,000 depot built of Turkey Creek Stone, In the meantime, the brick portions of Ketschmer’s were torn down, and the wooden portion became the depot in 1912. The stone depot was never built, and the wooden depot washed away in the 1921 flood.
